Contact Lenses
Contact lenses are a great option for when you don’t want to wear your spectacles. They are available for almost all prescriptions including for those who have reading difficulty, those with astigmatism, and those who are myopic.
Soft lens options include daily disposable contacts which require no cleaning, or reusable lenses. We provide lenses from leading manufacturers including Alcon, CooperVision, and Johnson & Johnson.
We also provide more complex, rigid gas-permeable contact lenses via ScotLens.
Children's Contact Lenses
We can also offer daily disposable contact lenses which have been proven to reduce the progression of short sightedness in children by half. This is an exciting new option that we can provide to children who are motivated, feel comfortable with touching their eyes, and are responsible. As these lenses are worn regularly, they can be provided with full aftercare via direct debit.
HOW TO INSERT & REMOVE CONTACT LENSES
Contact Lens Fees
For new wearers, we can arrange an initial consultation, trial lens fit, lessons on how to insert and remove contact lenses, and then a follow-up review. A charge of £60 is applicable to new contact lens wearers, which will cover all of the above and include any further follow-ups and trial contact lenses associated with this initial fitting.
It is recommended that contact lens wearers attend annually for review appointments to ensure that their eyes remain healthy. Contact lens checks for existing wearers are provided for a fee of £30 or are free if you purchase your contact lenses with us via direct debit.
